Mindfish offers free and fee-based resources to help you study for the SAT. You start by registering for an account, then take an SAT Quest. The Quest will help to identify your strengths and weaknesses in SAT reading, writing and math. It will then tailor a study program to help you improve your scores. If you select colleges you wish to attend, it will also base your goal scores on the requirements of those colleges.

Fee-based resources include access to all of the questions on the practice SAT, as well as 3 hours of live tele-tutoring with an SAT test subject matter expert.

5 stars for Mindfish!

The tips and strategies that I learned through my extensive use of mindfish.com proved to be highly effective with regard to improving my SAT/ACT scores as I underwent the process of applying for college. I took my first ACT test without doing any prior preparation and received a final score of a 21. I was unsatisfied with my performance as I knew that the minimum required score for many of the competitive colleges stood at 27 to be even be considered. Determined, I used this easily accessible, entertaining and engaging site along with consecutive one on one meetings with a tudor in order to practice my test taking skills and learn tips and tricks with regard t the material that was likely to be showcased on the test. It helped me improve my timing, increase my vocabulary, and most importantly I became familiar with major themes and test taking tactics. They say practice makes perfect and after only a short time of working with this program I had finally increased my score from a 21 to a 27. Long story short, I ended up applying to Brown now that I had the score to be considered in the running for such a highly competitive university and was accepted! I honestly know I couldn't have done it without mindfish. It forced me to practice consistently, memorize effective tips and strategies to master my timing while taking the test and also to increase my chances on choosing the correct answers. I became familiar with the type of questions I would be seeing as well as how to tackle them effectively which in turn increased my confidence and overall score!

The Best

I received a 36 on my ACT and a 2280 on my SAT (without super-scoring) and I give full credit to Mindfish for both of these scores.

This program does an excellent job of preparing its students for all aspects of the tests. The tutors are extremely well versed in the subjects and have a level of insight into the tests that is truly remarkable. Thanks to Mindfish, I went into each of the tests knowing exactly how to pace myself, what types of questions to expect, and the areas that I personally would have to concentrate on. The combination of theory and practice that Mindfish uses to prepare its students for the test is, I believe, the most efficient way possible to do so.

To anyone who is serious about succeeding on the ACT, SAT, SAT 2, or any other standardized test, I would recommend Mindfish above other programs (having tried more than one) as the best guide available.

Fantastic

I find their private lessons to be very helpful in feeling more confident about taking the SAT and ACT because I was able to understand mistakes that I personally make. I find it very helpful that they are able to provide Skype lessons over the internet because I live across the country and the lesson times are very flexible. Also, the tutors are very interesting and friendly people.
