For the safety and welfare of ALL children in a positive learning environment, it is essential for teachers to establish a learning community void of bullying behaviors and to facilitate a sense of community in the classroom. This includes teaching children skills to deal with bullies, as well as promoting positive social skills such as cooperation, communication, and conflict resolution.
