This is voice recognition software that enables a person to issue commands and create documents on their computer by simply speaking through a microphone.  It greatly reduces or eliminates the need for a keyboard, and so it is particularly helpful to those who do not or cannot use a keyboard.  There are numerous versions of the software.  The standard version is the cheapest ($99) and most useful to students.  PC Magazine provides a useful video displaying its major features and ease of use.
