CyberSmart! addresses Internet safety and security issues within the broader objective of helping educators and students acquire 21st century skills. In this way we are very different—and substantially more effective—than organizations that only promote messages alerting educators, students, and parents to the dangers of the Internet. While we do directly address all safety and security issues, we do so within the larger purpose of paving the way for the education sector constituents to harness the Internet's potential to foster creative inquiry, collaboration, and critical thinking—the skills students today need to be successful learners and workers in our digital world.
