Lives at War is an online game aimed at school children learning about life in Britain during World War 2. The game allows schoolchildren to engage with filmed history in an immersive, investigative way by re-presenting scenes from archive WW2 film footage in a 3D virtual environment. The scene is a fictitious British town of the 1940s and the environment uses game mechanics to draw players in to the lives and experiences of air-raid survivors, through a number of task-based activities.
