All About Birds

Educational for bird watching and learning about the birds in the area you live in.  Their online bird guide lists nearly 700 species.  Your can browse by taxonomy or by name and shape.  The bird shape silhouettes help, as does the search box where you can describe distinctive bird features.  Learn about each bird’s habitat, nesting places, food, behavior, and conservation status.  The bird profile also includes audio songs and calls, and in some cases videos.

In the Citizen Science section, find out activities you can take part in.  Count birds in your backyard.  Submit your bird observations to eBird.  Participate in Project FeederWatch or NestWatch.  If you live in the city, become an Urban birdwatch participant.
