Described and Captioned Media Program

The DCMP media library has over 4,000 free-loan described and captioned media titles available to registered Level 2 members, and our members can watch media online or order a DVD copy to be shipped to them.From astronomy to zoology, you’re sure to find it here! Remember, you can always recommend media to the DCMP.

The DCMP serves as a clearinghouse of information and materials on the subject of description and captioning for service to consumers, agencies, corporations, and schools. Clearinghouse offerings include numerous DCMP print and online informational resources as well as a gateway to accessibility information from the Web sites of the DCMP and its collaborators.

Articles

You can browse and search DCMP articles written by DCMP staff members, teachers, parents, researchers and others. Browse functions allow you to select a topic and then point and click through descriptions of available items.

Gateway

Search the gateway for materials from the DCMP and its collaborators. There is so much information out there, and the DCMP wants to help you acquire as much of it as possible.

DCMP collaborators include: American Foundation for the Blind, American Council of the Blind, Audio Description International, Center for Applied Special Technology, Closed Caption Latina, Deaf Education, Family Connect, Gallaudet University, Helen Keller National Center for Deaf-Blind Youths and Adults, National Association of the Deaf, National Center for Accessible Media, and  National Consortium on Deaf-Blindness.
