A set of coins is displayed in order from highest to lowest denomination. The student counts the value of the coins and enters it in the box. After several problems are solved, they’re entertained by a brief cartoon.
The front or back of each coin in randomly displayed, and the coins look realistic. This help kids develop recognition of the coins as they would see them in daily use.
